SebastianGörg introduces social workflows as a new application domain for Process-AwareInformation Systems and draws the design of a social workflow platform thatenables private individuals to make use of workflow technology in theireveryday lives. Whenever a group of persons works together on a challenging ormultifaceted task, a social workflow begins. In textual form, such socialworkflows are already described and shared in various Internet communitieswhich provide experiential knowledge for achieving different goals, in areaslike home repair, vacation trips and computer troubleshooting. The envisionedplatform enables its users to construct social workflows according to theirspecific needs, to share them with a community and to keep track of theexecution.
