Framed and Burning

en Limba Engleză Paperback
The Dreamslippers are a family of PIs who solve crimes using their ability to 'slip' into your dreams. But that isn't easy. In Framed and Burning, they have to defend one of their own. Someone sets fire to Mick Travers' art studio, killing his assistant, and Mick won't give an alibi. His sister is convinced he's innocent, but her granddaughter and the police aren't so sure. Was it really Mick, or is something even darker behind the fire? The first book in the series was praised by Kirkus Reviews for its "refreshing majority of female characters" and is trending at 4.5 stars on 36 Amazon reviews. This sequel is set in the high-stakes but quirky Miami art world. Will they discover that a jealous rival was out to destroy Mick's art--and reputation? Or is something more sinister behind the arson and murder? Find out in this story told from the perspectives of all three dreamslippers, whose handle on their gift is varied and distinct. ADVANCED PRAISE "Framed and Burning is the second book in the Dreamslippers series. It's easy to follow and hard to put down, making readers who may not have read the first book race back to give it a try " - InD'tale Magazine "Lisa Brunette continues to develop vibrant characters in a stunning story that will keep you reading well past your bedtime " - On My Kindle

Notă biografică

Lisa was born in Santa Rosa, California, but that was only home for a year. A so-called "military brat," she lived in nine different houses and attended nine different schools by the time she was 14. Through all of the moves, her one constant was books. She read everything, from the entire Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden mystery series to her mother's books by Daphne du Maurier and Taylor Caldwell. A widely published author, game writer, and journalist, Lisa has interviewed homeless women, the designer of the Batmobile, and a sex expert, to name just a few colorful characters. This experience, not to mention her own large, quirky family, led her to create some truly memorable characters in her Dreamslippers Series and other works, whether books or games. Always a vivid dreamer, not to mention a wannabe psychic, Lisa feels perfectly at home slipping into suspects' dreams, at least in her imagination. Her husband isn't so sure she can't pick up his dreams in real life, though. With a hefty list of awards and publications to her name, Lisa now lives in a small town in Washington State, but who knows how long that will last... SIGN UP: Lisa publishes a bimonthly newsletter.
