Bich Nga was born in Hanoi, raised in Saigon, and learned many of her cooking skills at home from her mother. She came to the United States in 1975 and in 1977 was married. Her and her husband moved to Maine and had three daughters. Bich Nga opened a catering business and wrote her first book Vietnam Memories: A Cookbook. Today, she still caters and attends many Farmer's Markets across the state.
