Amrita Saikia has a Ph.D. from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India. Currently, she is a Visiting Fellow (2023-2024) funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation at the Institute for Asian Studies, German Institute for Global and Area Studies, Hamburg.
