Fred Galves is a 1986 graduate of Harvard Law School and has been a law professor at Pacific McGeorge School of Law since 1993. He currently teaches: Evidence, Civil Procedure, Computer-Assisted Litigation, and Street Law. He also writes and lectures on the use of technology in the practice of law. Galves is an Evidence casebook coauthor and has written several law review articles.

Galves has done human rights work in Chile with the Catholic Church and was a teaching fellow in Principles of Economics at Harvard College. Galves was a judicial clerk for Judge John L. Kane Jr. and later practiced law with the Denver firm of Holland & Hart. He was a visiting political science professor at Colorado College and has been a visiting law professor at the University of California at Davis School of Law, Fordham Law School, the University of Denver Law School, and Southwestern University Law School.
