The most important and wide-ranging concepts (aesthetics, so-ciety/literature, critical editing, textual criticism, etc.) are listed with explanations referring to individual epochs or writers' names. Linguistic disciplines like phonetics, syn-tax, phraseology, etc. are related to individual languages or different stages of evolution in German. In the period in question, the journal produced a substantial body of stud-ies on text genres and lexicology, special languages, genres, motifs, and other aspects of research in German Studies.
