Almost three-quarters of a million tourists flock to Salem, Massachusetts each year, and most of them choose this destination because of the town's supernatural past. While the Salem Witch Trials at the end of the 17th century ensured that interest in the paranormal would be forever tied to the region, the people of Salem continued to be fascinated by the supernatural throughout the 18th and 19th centuries as well. This book is a collection of twenty poems and articles taken from newspapers published in Salem during the 18th and 19th centuries. They contain mysterious accounts of sea serpents, ghostly visitations, and unexplained phenomena.
