When Roscoe Caterwaul walked those few blocks to pick up the stunning former model, Gloria Gainey, for a dinner date, he could not have known, could not have guessed, never in a million years, what he was to find. He knew Gloria for a lifetime, since she started first grade at Sarasota Elementary School in 1942. Bad timing never let them have a social life together in their youth, but good timing allowed them to enjoy every day together as they entered the golden years of their lives. Gloria lay dead in a massive pool of blood on the kitchen floor, brutally murdered. Roscoe knew exactly what happened, how, and who. It was Gloria's so-called nephew, Larry, the son of a childhood friend, a constant companion of her own four boys as they were growing up. His rap sheet was long.
