Gloria has had an extremely illustrious career as a television host, working on numerous shows and estabishing herself as one of the nation's favourite television personalities. Yet her journey to the top was far from simple, born and raised in rural Ireland, her early years trying to make it on Irish television were an up-hill struggle. Moving to London in the poltically turbulent 1970s was yet another hurdle to overcome as she battled against the stigma of being an Irish immigrant. Yet from the 1980s her reputation grew and her career blossomed, as she became widely regarded as one of the most respected names in the industry.
