Judith Miller, a correspondent for The New York Times since 1977, was Cairo Bureau Chief from 1983 to 1986 and later the Times's special correspondent to the Gulf War. Miller is the author of One, by One, by One and co-author if the bestselling Saddam Hussein and the Crisis in the Gulf. She lives in New York City.
