Ivan Singleterry - An Ivy League man in the South who feels entitled to everything he wants. His father's money and influence have always made a way for him to be the first at everything that is until he competes with Simon Swanson. His dark past draws him toward debauchery and violence he has to contain. Vanessa Mason - A single mother of three bi-racial children. To support herself and children, she functions as a maid offering more than cleaning services. Tough she is strikingly beautiful she has never allowed the possibility of falling for a man but finds she is falling for a mysterious man that walks into her life. World It's the late 1940's and the colored community has its morals and expectations and church is the primary social event. There are few mega-churches with memberships over a couple of hundred, that is except Fellowship Church. Vying for positions in the ministry to succeed the Wilkerson's domination is what every young preacher who attends seminary at the church sponsored school.
