Grady Nocturnis

After the death of his pregnant wife, fourth-year medical student Grady Ballard feels he has nothing left to live for. Heartbroken and filled with guilt, he turns to alcohol for solace-but finds little comfort there.

So he tries something a little more final to end his misery: after a few shots of whiskey to strengthen his resolve, he decides to jump off the roof of a multistory building and leave the cruel world behind.

What he doesn't know is that someone is watching him-someone in need of companionship, who hates to see a good human go to waste. The lovely vampire Hallie is prepared to take Grady under her wing and teach him everything there is to know about being a creature of the night.

But life as a vampire doesn't come easily to Grady, who joined the medical field in order to save lives and now finds himself being transformed into something with the urge to hunt and kill.

During a test period of seven nights, he must figure out whether Hallie's guidance will help him survive and thrive during this major life change-and whether he wants to continue on the nocturnal path with his new friend by his side.
