Grammar in Use Intermediate: Self-study Reference and Practice for Students of English

Autor Raymond Murphy, William R. Smalzer, Izumi Walker
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 18 iul 2005
Grammar in Use Intermediate (Japanese Edition) is a bilingual (English / Japanese) edition of Grammar in Use Intermediate (With Answers) Second Edition (052162598x) targeted at learners in Japan whose mother tongue is Japanese and whose command of English is relatively weak. The classic In Use format remains, with explanation and examples on the left page followed by exercises on the right. As in the monolingual edition, there are six Appendices, Additional Exercises, a Study Guide and Answer Key. In the Japanese Edition, grammatical explanation and terminology as well as selected example sentences (or parts of sentences) are translated on the left page. On the right page, exercise instuctions are translated. There is a modest amount of content adaptation, typically consisting of additional explanation or examples for grammar which is identified as a weak spot for Japanese learners. As the book is for sale in in the locally-produced EFL materials section of Japanese bookstores, the dimensions of the book have been reduced. The extent remains the same as in the original. The Japanese Edition does not contain a CD.
