In this dramatic story of the American frontier, a plague of locusts devastates an entire year's worth of crops. Written in Turner's finely honed, evocative style, "Grasshopper Summer" follows 11-year-old Sam and his family when they move from Kentucky to the Dakota Territory in 1874.
