A must read for anyone studying Biblical Fatherhood
Taking his instruction from the example of Christ, George Whitefield calls fathers to be like Christ as Christ is to the Church. The Great Duty of Family Religion is Whitefield's exposition of Ephesians 5:25-33 - "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her..." Men are called to imitate Christ as Leaders, Shepherds, and Prayerful Interceders.
