One night was especially bad. He was having a nightmare, and his sweat streamed from his face to his chest. He jumped up out of bed sleepwalking. He had his arms in a gun hold, and he was pointing it at me. He told me not to move, that I was a prisoner of war. That his buddy was coming around the corner right now and they were taking me in. He grabbed me out of bed, took my arms behind me, and pulled them tight. I kept yelling for him to stop. "Will, it's me Molly, stop, wake up " I urged. He said to me, "You dirty rotten little son of a bitch, you killed my friend and I will not let you get away with this." He then grabbed me around my throat. I scratched his arms so hard, they bled. I had to get away. I kicked him in the groin and ran to the living room door, and even though I was in a flimsy nightgown, I would have ran out that door to save myself. This is about a young couple who survived PTSD and the husband who went on to learn to help others. He often referred to PTSD as the Grizzly in the Woods, because you never knew when it would turn on you. You could go along just fine, then... This is the story of a couple's experiences throughout their lifetime and their deep love for each other.
