Dr. Boikai Twe is best known for his passion for African literature and psychology. He is intentional about shining light on social justice, anti-Black racism, and the African diaspora. His goal: disband the lack of respect for Africans' contributions to the modern world and achieve global African unity. Having spent most of his professional career as a mentor and college professor, he motivates youth to value self, develop character, and lead others. Dr. Twe was recognized as a Dayton Skyscraper, an artistic tribute to African American Heroes of Dayton and the Miami Valley Region. He received the Nia Award for his contributions to Sinclair College and the African American community. This transcontinental author and educator presided over the Liberian Studies Association and organized conferences for Africanists in North America and Africa. Referred to as Rasta, he has served alongside creative industry greats including Antonio LA Reid, BarbaraO, and Bing Davis.On the heels of his first book, Which Way Liberia: The Gun or the Book?, Dr. Twe's sophomore book is a memoir of his tumultuous career in psychology, journey to enlightenment, and vision of African unity.
