On a small island by the sea lived a little girl who was filled with sadness. KenKay felt different because she had a different kind of hair. All the girls she knew had long straight hair that seemed so lively and fun, but KenKay's hair was tightly coiled, very defiant, and unmovable. KenKay's father was at a lost, being a single parent, his knowledge about girly matters were limited.
