Laurel Burch was a self-taught artist and "?ower child" who created brilliantly coloured, vibrant and moving themes with paint and paper, all exquisitely embellished with gold and silver. On our Maria and Mares journal, Maria - one of Laurel's closest friends - is depicted with a pair of mystical horses.
