Haylie's Comet is about a twelve year old tomboy, who believes her life will always be better than perfect. She also believes that she will always have successful parents who love and cherish her, and will keep them all out of harms way. Haylie is accustomed to living and playing in her better than average Staten Island home, that's nestled inside a friendly, family oriented neighborhood, that provides her with the very best of friends. But a sudden tragedy shatters Haylie's world, almost completely, and she is forced to grow up a little sooner than most twelve year old girls. Haylie has ties to the great state of Wyoming, where she learns some life changing lessons about dealing with and surviving the unexpected.
