Carrie is an artist who is very creative and sensitive, but she doesn't believe in ghosts like her Native American grandma. She loves her grandmother who raised her after her mother abandoned her but doesn't believe in all that weird paranormal supernatural stuff, until. When she discovers that her husband has been cheating on her life changes forever. Luckily for her she has a job at an art center that is being refurbished where she teaches. She will have a job as a manager and will be able to live in the apartment upstairs.
