Notă biografică

Robin Robertson and her husband Doug have owned and managed the Bellingham Tennis Club & Fairhaven Fitness since 2000, in Bellingham, Washington. Robin is accomplished in a variety of training methods including Functional Aging Specialist, ACE certified personal trainer, USA Cycling Coach, and founder of Healthy Knees Cycling, Healthy Knees Coach, and Cycle Moles. Robin is a life-long athlete. She ran competitively in high school and continued through college. At just 24 years old, during her senior year, she received the crushing news that if she wanted to walk at age 30, she needed to stop all impact sports because of the arthritis in her knees. This began her love of cycling! Her first knee surgery was at the young age of 13 to correct a congenital meniscus condition and she has had a total of eight surgeries to date. Not daunted by poor knees, Robin toured the world on her bike, raced road bicycles (at age 47 & 48 was 2nd and 1st place Washington State "Best All Around Road Rider" Masters B Division and placed high in many other road racing events) and raced mountain bikes (competed in the Leadville 100 among other events). She continues to train for cycling events, fitness, commutes to work and rides her bike just for fun and to keep her knees in good health. When she's not on her bike or helping others to live healthy and active lives, Robin loves family time with her husband and two children, traveling, getting her hands dirty in her garden, and sewing (Halloween costumes are her favorite).
