In the seventh grade, while Charles was attending Catholic school, the head priest came to his classroom seeking altar boys for church service. Not fully understanding what the duties of an altar boy were, he quickly raised his hand and thought to himself, I'll figure it out. How hard can it be? After weeks of training, Charles loved serving the Lord.However, the Thursday before his first Sunday service, he learned that he could not participate because he and his parents were not baptized Catholic.
