Autor L. P. Suzanne Atkinson
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 16 apr 2016
Book II of the Regarding Hayworth Series: Gaby Ridgway is forty and widowed. She moves to the small town of Hayworth, Alberta the summer of 1977 in an attempt to rebuild, restore, and renew her life. Her career as a family counsellor for the Alberta government Department of Health and Welfare is jeopardized by a suspicious disappearance, a Nova Scotia murder, and the complications of fear and uncertainty when she is stalked by a troubled and persistent client. Throughout the investigations that follow, Gaby is forced to rethink, re-examine, and revise her concepts of herself as both a professional and a member of the Hayworth community. Gaby's story serves to remind us all of our core values. When faced with an ethical dilemma, are you prepared for personal sacrifice in order to hold fast to what you know is your true self?

Notă biografică

L.P.Suzanne Atkinson was born in New Brunswick, Canada and lived in both Alberta and Quebec before settling in Nova Scotia in 1991. She has a BA in Psychology from Mount Allison University, a Bachelor of Social Work from McGill University, and an MA in Sociology from Acadia University. Suzanne spent her professional career in the fields of mental health and home care as both a therapist and trainer. She also owned and operated, with her husband, both an antique business and a construction business for more than twenty-five years. Her philosophy of life is based on two qualities for which she continually strives. They are her benchmarks. First: there is no better descriptor than to be called a kind person and good friend. Second: a lesson learned and not shared is information squandered. Suzanne writes about the challenges inherent in aging and about the unavoidable consequences of relationships. She uses her life and work experiences to weave timeless stories that cross many boundaries. She and her husband, David Weintraub, continue to make Nova Scotia their home.
