Jorge Iber, PhD, is associate professor of history and chair of the Department of History at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX. His published works include Hispanics in the Mormon Zion, 1912-1999 as well as numerous articles on Mexican Americans.Arnoldo De León, PhD, is C. J. "Red" Davidson University Professor of History at Angelo State University, San Angelo, TX. His published works include Ethnicity in the Sunbelt: A History of Mexican Americans in Houston and Racial Frontiers: Africans, Chinese, and Mexicans in Western America, 1848-1890. He is also the author of numerous articles on Texas and Mexican American history.
