Doris Koehler lives in South Texas with her husband of 62 years. They are both retired and love to travel and go camping. Their family includes many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for them to enjoy. Doris first began writing poetry at an early age. As an adult, she would include them in birthday cards for friends and family. The poems were so well-received that she kept writing them. Her poetry touches on themes of new life, loss and grief, sickness, aging, new beginnings, patriotism, spirituality, and humor.
