Notă biografică

Leigh Hobbs is an artist, painter, sculptor, cartoonist, children's book illustrator and author. He is also an experienced teacher and lecturer at primary, secondary and tertiary levels. Leigh has illustrated many books but is probably best known for the Old Tom series of books which is now also a successful animated TV series. Horrible Harriet, (Allen + Unwin, 2004), was shortlisted for the CBC awards and was the winner of the 2003 YABBA Award. Fiona the Pig and Fiona the Pig's Big Day (Penguin Books)and Hooray for Horrible Harriet was published in 2005. His latest books with A+U are 4F for Freaks, Freaks Ahoy and Old Tom's Big Book of Beauty.
