I'm not sure if you remember me my friend, but I purchased your book "How to Make a Living in Music - Gigging in Retirement & Nursing Homes" earlier this year. I have to say it was a turning point for me and since then I've become very busy and turned it into a "full time" thing that I do now, along with another singer friend and duo partner who sings with me.
I have done 46 shows this month between 1st of December and Xmas Day and most of next year is booked, and even a few dates in January 2015 are booked.
You really opened my eyes to pricing and the elasticity of what homes are willing to pay for good entertainers who sincerely care and pray over their residents.
And it all started because I bought your blessed book and read it from front to back, asked you some questions and we prayed for one another.

My name is Ronnie Stockdale, I live in Memphis, TN in the United States.
It' been a few months now since we last communicated about your book and I have done six gigs in different assisted living centres now as a direct result of your information contained in the book. I am taking it slow trying to get a feel for what is the best way to approach doing this full time.
I have gotten so much joy and fulfilment from the few gigs that I have done that I find I am constantly thinking of songs to sing or the best way to enhance my performance. I am charging $100.00 for one hour which seems acceptable to the activities co-ordinators that have booked me. I plan to ramp up the introductory letters and see where this will go.
I just wanted to thank you for the great info contained in your book. It has really been a great help. I will keep you posted on my progress as I see how this thing will really work for me in the United States. Thanks
