How to Manage Your Dick
Autor Sean Joseph O'Reillyen Limba Engleză Paperback
Despite the outlandish title, this is a profoundly conservative, moral and thoughtful book about sexual literacy and the hidden ecology of energy and information that connects us to the rest of the universe. Equal parts philosopher, spiritualist and renegade personal development expert, O'Reilly is not your typical self-help guru. His blunt language, graphic explanations and "dirty" acronyms stand in stark contrast to the feel-good insights touted on daytime TV. But for generations of men virtually left out in the cold in terms of realistic, practical advice, he's considered a breath of fresh air and a "man's man" when it comes to self-help. "By virtue of our evolutionary background as hunters and killers, men are more or less pre-programmed for certain behavior patterns," says O'Reilly. "Traditional self-help or superficial motivational approaches don't usually have the desired impact on men, because our innate drives and tendencies are too powerful and too firmly entrenched in our psyches." "Men are instinctive creatures, in a constant battle with the side of them still drawn to violence, boorish treatment of women and the basic 'caveman' ideology," adds O'Reilly. "We're so often amazed at how men can 'act like jerks, ' and yet very little has been offered in terms of advice that goes directly to the source of most problems - testosterone-driven, penis-centered, impulsive actions."
Enter: O'Reilly's new book, "How to Manage Your DICK: Redirect Sexual Energy And Discover Your More Enlightened, Evolved Self. This is a virtual 'man manifesto' combining ancient wisdom and New Age ideas with in-your-face, no-holds-barred tips. While the title may imply outrageous content, O'Reilly's book is actually the opposite. Drawing upon high-level metaphysics and advanced sociology, O'Reilly supports his contentions with wisdom from notables ranging from St. Thomas Aquinas, Cicero, Plato, and Aristotle, and fields of study including Tibetan philosophy, natural law, trans-quantum physics and multi-dimensional energy transference.
Anthropologist Mark Gruber describes God Has Skin in the Game as: "more than a three credit course in psychology or civics, "God has Skin in the Game" is a curriculum for a post-apocalyptic university.
