Should you go to college? If you're a high school student, you have a lot of questions. How to Succeed in College is written by people who have been to college and succeeded. In fact, this volume is full of advice from current students, college faculty, advisors, and professionals who have navigated their way through college. Many voices encourage you to seek your degree the "right" way - plan responsibly in order to follow through successfully. This first volume of the three-part series is directed specifically to high school students. The second volume, How to Succeed in College: It's Never Too Late, is for adult learners. The third volume is for second-degree-seeker, teachers, and trainers who want to strengthen their professionalism. It is titled How to Succeed in College: Build Your Professional Strengths. We start off by meeting two people who have dreams of college but encounter struggles that may make college "almost" impossible. But remember: nothing is impossible. They can succeed, and so can you. Next, you'll read a bit about the cost of college and whether or not it's worth the time and money and effort (hint: it is).
