When India is on the verge of becoming a global super power, it can't afford gross human rights violations of its own citizens, when inclusive growth and empowerment are its electoral planks. In this context, this book probes the efficacy and relevance of human rights movement in preserving and promoting the human rights of Dalits in India in general and Karnataka state in particular.
