After painfully striving in life to build bridges and foster reconciliation between her adopted White culture and the culture of her Indigenous bloodline, maybe in her death, she was finally able to create that space. Based on a true story, I Am All of Those People tells the tale of Molly, who is caught between three cultures that have been at odds for generations. An Indigenous woman adopted into a White middle-class family and a deeply devout born-again Christian. After a miracle chance meeting in a restaurant led her to the discovery of her birth family, Molly finds herself placed in a unique position to be the bridge between these people. In an impromptu assembly of representatives from each of her people groups, conversations concerning history, racism, and how to work together get heated, raw, and real. Molly wanted nothing more for most of her life than to find that sweet spot of healing for the nation, where truth can be shared in a climate of acknowledging a painful church history and where reconciliation conversations can begin between the church and her beloved White and Indigenous people.
