Notă biografică

David Fernstedt was born in Denver Colorado in 1963. He conceived of the idea behind I Can Read Now! An Easy Sight Word Reader when his daughters were 4 and 5 years old, as a better alternative to flash card, to teach sight words. This method worked so well that both girls quickly learn to read and were reading at a 12th grade level by the time they were in 4th grade. He began selling this book under his own publishing company in June of 2009. The book has been used by parents and teachers across the country and has taught thousands of children to read.
Michael Menard was raised in the Denver, Colorado area where he attended multiple schools, including two years at the Colorado Institute of Art. Always doodling and sketching, he figured this was the likely path for his future. However, after four years in the navy more than a few courses of fire-fighting training, he decided to pursue a career as a fire-fighter. From time to time, Michael is able to maintain his hobby of drawing and sketching caricatures thanks to the characters around the firehouse. Michael has illustrated one other children's book entitled Skipping Into Multiplication.
