Fran Di Giacomo shares the game plan she has used for survival, for quality of life, and to maintain her career as a professional artist. ?As a career member of the Chemo Club, I have lived with cancer for twenty years, ? writes Fran. ?In the last five years, I have had thirteen hospitalizations, ten surgeries, and constant chemotherapy. Staying alive is a full-time job. Notă biografică

Striving to establish her art career in oil painting, Fran Di Giacomo found herself most excited by the methods and concepts of the Dutch masters. I focused on seeking out living masters to study with. Preferring the drama of light, shadow, and mystery has been a constant theme. Fad and fashion will ebb and flow, but classical realism is endless and enduring. In today's fast-paced world, our senses are constantly assaulted by the noisy, the vulgar, the grotesque, the avant-garde. When you behold a Di Giacomo painting, you return to the world of quiet elegance.
