Autor Teresa Resende Leiserowitz Editat de Mark Lee Leiserowitz
en Limba Engleză Paperback – dec 2015
I like to Look at the Stars is a fiction book designed for young people. The theme revolves around a flying machine created by a teacher who advocates the idea of practical learning, and decides to help four students who are struggling to overcome various family problems. The difference is that this book encourages creativity, magic and integration between reason and emotion. I believe this is the way to decrease loneliness and violence in the relationship between people. Thus, the horizons of the characters are magnified by the existence of a world accepting differences. This causes them to mature, causing the discovery of commonalities that unite people. The teacher guides them on a fantastic trip, and are carried into the space orbit of the Earth. From there, they choose four countries. They learn to remain invisible, and thus come into contact with different peoples and places. Each new episode, forces them to face difficult and dangerous situations. Whatever the situation they have a mission to help those to find the way and learn from different ways of living. They will have to face many challenges, and solutions to the problems faced will serve as a learning experience for the personal life of each. Trisha is sensitive and has the gift of premonition. Her presence is essential to facilitate the solution of the problems that the group will face, making the link between reason and feelings. Suffering a terminal illness, at the end of the book, the reader will take note of her death, smoothly as part of the reality of life. It will thrill with the phrase "I like to look at the stars." This sentence gives the book its name because it represents the magical experience and transcendence.
