I want that dress This book was written by Kayla and Karen Burt. This is a story about a little girl who wants a new dress but she has to work hard to get it. The book is designed to build reading skills and to provide a young reader with a positive reading experience. Basic sight words are used. I wanted to use larger font and spacing between sentences to help the child develop visual tracking skills. I wanted to educate the reader on the different types of sewing tools that are used to make a dress. Photographs of basic sewing items are included at the end of the book.
