I Want to Be a Fairy is a story for girls about finding their inner magic and becoming their true selves. Sophie spends an afternoon in the garden with her mother, making note of the fairies they see. In turn, Sophie wishes to adopt each of their characteristics and magic, before coming to the conclusion that she must become her own fairy, rather than emulating others.
