This monograph contains the original Cold War propaganda tract, I Was A CIA Agent In India, written by a former US State Department code clerk, John D. Smith, who defected to the Soviet Union in the late 1960s. He has not been seen or heard from since, and his final destiny is clouded in mystery. This monograph also includes details of the 1955 Air India aircraft bombing, which Smith alleges was a CIA plot to assassinate Zhou Enlai, China's premier and diplomat, before he reached the Bandung Conference in Indonesia. The document section of this monograph contains US and Hong Kong government documents, along with Taiwan and Indian press reports of the bombing and Smith's defection.
