Fidelis Allen is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Political and Administrative Studies, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. His research interests include natural resource conflicts, social movements, and environmental politics and peace studies. His recent publications include co-authorship of 'Oil, Politics, and Conflict in the Niger Delta: A Nonkilling Analysis' in Africa Peace and Conflict Journal (December 2010) and 'Social Movements' in the International Encyclopaedia of Political Science (2010).
