Notă biografică
Hovey Tyndall was born in Boston, Massachusetts and grew up in Brookline, a contiguous suburb. He graduated from Brown University with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and has taken many post graduate courses. He served eight years as an officer in the U.S. Navy including time aboard an aircraft carrier and as a battalion commander of recruits at Great Lakes, Illinois. He worked for General Electric Company for 27 years in finance and strategic planning with his last job, based in London, England, having responsibility for GE's planning and development for business in the Middle East and Africa. He spent 10 years marketing and helping to install a cash flow training program at more than 20 Fortune 500 companies. He is now Chairman and President of Building Humanity Worldwide, a charitable organization with a mission of helping challenged communities around the world. At GE he also taught a program called Mathematics for Management. Hovey has traveled to over sixty countries and has lived in over twenty places. Hovey loves his family, his many friendships, interesting and deep conversations, traveling, healthy and tasty food, good wine and cheese, and games such as chess, bridge and other card games, and some computer games. The first name of Hovey was strongly suggested and accepted by the wife of Elihu Thomson, a cofounder of General Electric. She was a sister of my grandmother and her maiden name was Hovey.
