In Beauty's Veins is the story of Daphne, a Healer, who's lost everything but her life, and is ready to settle down in a town far from her homeland. She meets Berri, a woman whose life has been steeped in anger, suspicion, and despair, and they form an unlikely bond, sharing their stories - one the story of wrongful accusations of patricide, and one of an entire village destroyed by vampyres. While Daphne tries to grow roots in this new town, Berri tries to grow roots within herself, and the whole town watches with wary eyes as one of their own descends into vampyrism.
