Lucky enough to have been adopted as an infant by a wonderful, loving couple, Neri’s affinity for the water is often a teasing point for her non-biological twin, Nelle, both born during Hurricane Gaston’s landfall in South Carolina, some twenty years past. While the latter prefers to collect sea glass along the beach, the ocean depths call to Neri.
