This book aims chiefly to identify those values which serve to unify the citizens of Singapore into a cohesive nation. The study looks at issues such as multi-racism within the nation-building process, lessons on ideology from our Southeast Asian neighbours, the impact of government policies, the effect of a prospering nation on the values of the young, and the usefulness of the four core values as suggested by the government for adoption as national values.
