Notă biografică

Katrin Dautel graduated in German Studies from the Universities Bonn and Florence and is now working as Assistant Lecturer at the Department of German at the University of Malta. Currently, she is working on a PhD project on space constructions and gender in contemporary German literature. Kathrin Schödel is Senior Lecturer at the Department of German, University of Malta, and is currently working on a book project on "Revolution and Femininity. Discourses on Revolution and Gender in Germany 1789 and 1918". She obtained her PhD from the University of Erlangen with a thesis on "Literary versus Political Memory" (published in 2010, Königshausen & Neumann). Her interest in insularity is related to her study of discursive constructions of the private versus the public sphere as well as her general interest in literature and politics.
