Interchange of Active and Passive Voice - While changing active voice into passive voice, subject in active voice is changed into object (followed by preposition 'by') and object in active voice is changed into subject. Also remember: Sometimes instead of using preposition 'by', you may have to use other prepositions. Important Rules: Changing Active Voice Into Passive Voice -- Rule 1: The object of the active voice becomes the subject of the passive voice.
