International Migration Outlook: SOPEMI 2007

This edition analyzes recent trends in migration movements and policies in all OECD countries. It also includes statistics on long-term international migration inflows for most of the OECD countries. The determining factors in the employment situation of immigrants are also reviewed, focusing on recent measures to facilitate the integration of immigrants and their children into the labor market. The book includes two special chapters. The first addresses the issue of matching educational background and employment—yet another challenge for immigrants. The second highlights the growing importance of the international mobility of health personnel. International Migration Outlook also contains country notes and a statistical annex.
