Fraudulent and immoral use of the Internet has over clouded its academic and its social benefits. Many schools can boast of computer laboratories, but only few can pride themselves on Internet access. Another frustration is the capacity to use the Internet. Internet has become a useful tool for education. Society today is characterized and dominated by application of modern Information and Communication Technology (ICT) virtually in all aspects of human endeavour. Thus, access to ICT, the Internet in particular, has provided people especially students with a foundation for meeting their information needs, and applying knowledge globally, particularly in developing nations like Nigeria
