Dr. Shah Alam is Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), and affiliated with Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, India. He did Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India. He has worked with the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA), the Centre for Air Power Studies (CAPS), and the Centre for Land Warfare Studies (CLAWS), New Delhi, India. Specializing on Iran and Gulf Studies, his areas of interests also includes West Asia, Pakistan, and the Caspian Sea Basin.
