Into the Cloud of Knowing

Autor Renato Antonio
en Limba Engleză Paperback – 17 mai 2016
Christians are not immune from the temptation to doubt the existence of a loving God. They too are scandalised by the suffering in the world and the reality of death. In a world filled with confusion and doubt about the meaning of existence even those who claim a faith can lose hope.
"Into the Cloud of Knowing" is an invitation to share in Renato Antonio's personal quest for signs of God's continuing faithfulness. Inspired by events in the lives of Christians as diverse as the countries from which they come, the book merges autobiography and biography, theological reflection and social commentary, family history and travelogue. It explores true accounts of miracles, conversions and healings, angelic encounters, prophetic dreams, deliverances, near death experiences, and the wisdom of children, spanning nearly a century.
This book, Renato Antonio's gift of love to his children and for posterity, is a reminder that our lives are linked to the countless souls who form the cloud of witnesses, experiencing God's presence and proclaiming his mercy.

Notă biografică

Perth born and educated, Renato Antonio is the son of Sicilian migrants. He was baptised Catholic in infancy but became serious about his faith after a conversion experience at the age of 15. His desire to fathom the mysteries of faith and life has led him "Into the Cloud of Knowing"; that place in which one meets, albeit in veiled form, God in our midst. Reflecting on personal experiences and those of others whose stories have been the catalyst for deeper insight into life, suffering, death and the supernatural, Renato provides a heartfelt reflection on God's presence in lives spanning nearly a century, in three continents. Renato is a father of five children, a high school teacher and tutor, and is currently doing post-graduate study in Theology.
