These laws regulate the employer-employee relationship and helps in the maintenance of industrial peace and harmony and prevent industrial unrest. The growth and development of industry is vital for countries like India, which have abundant natural resources, population and potency to excel. The industrial growth in the domestic market pushes higher growth rate in terms of production and consumption. Thus the role of labour laws in the present scenario has become more important.
